For me a good friend should be honest, loyal and understanding. It’s very important that you can trust another person. Friends are usually close to each other and spend a lot of time together, they share their ideas and secrets and that’s why it’s necessary to be honest. You must be sure that your secret will not be revealed to anyone else.
I also believe that a friend should be loyal. A good friend doesn’t take the side of your enemy or doesn’t take sides at all. A loyal friend will never stop being your friend just because you don’t think the way he or she thinks. For a real friend it’s absolutely not important how rich you are.
One of the most important things in a good friend for me is being supportive. A good friend is always beside you when you feel bad, lonely or upset. He is always ready to talk to you, to give you advice and support you. He also needs to know how to listen.
Moreover, it’s always nice when a friend understands you, when you are sure he won’t laugh at you in any situation. A friend should be your partner in life. He should share your emotions, share your success and failures and be near you if needed.

Друг пізнається в біді - все ми знаємо цю приказку і я вважаю, що це правда. Друзі грають дуже важливу роль в нашому житті. Коли нам сумно, вони нас радують, коли нам самотньо - складають нам компанію. Так кого ж ми можемо назвати хорошим другом?
Я вважаю, що хороший друг повинен бути чесним, вірним і розуміючим. Дуже важливо довіряти іншій людині. Зазвичай друзі близькі один з одним, проводять багато часу разом, діляться своїми ідеями і секретами і тому необхідно бути чесними. Ти повинен бути впевнений, що твій секрет ніхто не дізнається.
Я також вважаю, що один повинен бути вірним. Хороший друг ніколи не стане на бік твого ворога або ж взагалі не встане на чиюсь сторону. Вірний друг ніколи не перестане з тобою дружити тільки тому, що ви не дійшли спільної думки. Для справжнього друга зовсім неважливо, наскільки ти багатий.
Один з найважливіших показників хорошого друга для мене - вміння підтримати. Хороший друг завжди поруч, коли тобі погано, самотньо або ти засмучений. Він завжди готовий поговорити з тобою, дати пораду і підтримати тебе. Він також вміє слухати.
Більш того, завжди добре, коли один тебе розуміє, коли ти впевнений, що він не посміється над тобою в будь-якій ситуації. Друг повинен бути партнером по життю. Він повинен розділяти твої емоції, твої злети і падіння і бути поруч, якщо тобі це потрібно.
